THE CONFERENCE

The Brazilian Ceramic Association - ABC, will be promoting the Seventh International Latin American Conference on Powder Technology to be held from 08 to 10 - November, 2009 in the Tauá Hotel Convention Center, located in Atibaia - SP - Brazil.
The Conference will be coordinated by an International Committee, organized by Metallum Eventos Técnicos e Científicos, and supported by IPEN - Instituto de Pesquisas Energérticas e Nucleares. A number of well known professionals from various countries have agreed to attend this Conference.
The purpose of this Meeting is to present the latest developments and fabrication aspects of Metallic, Intermetallic, Ceramic, MMC and CMC materials. The Conference will attempt to provide a forum for presenting the advances and for exchanging information in all relevant areas related to particulate materials.
Authors are invited to submit abstracts of papers to be presented in the Technical Sessions, for both oral and poster presentation. All abstracts for the technical program are subject to review by the Technical Program Committee.

CONFERENCE LANGUAGE

English will be the official language during the conference.

TECHNICAL SESSIONS AND POSTER PRESENTATION

The general technical and poster presentation sessions are forums to review and publish recent work contributing to the state-of-art and discussing emerging areas of interest. Authors should submit abstracts which outline the results of their latest research, innovations or improvements in P/M and Ceramic processing or products, including:

* Powder Production Technology
* Powder Shaping Technology
* Sintering
* Characterization and Properties
* Alloy Design and Development
* Process and Microstructural Modeling
* Spray Forming

Materials: Alloys, Intermetallics, Ceramics, MMCs, CMCs.

PROCEEDINGS PUBLICATION

All invited and contributed papers presented at the Conference will be published in a proceedings format, in English. Instructions for manuscript preparation and submission will be provided to the authors.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Authors are invited to submit abstracts with 150-200 words to the Conference Secretariat through our website. The deadline is May 17, 2009.

During the PTECH 2009 Conference, the organizers will be planning recreations, lunches, dinners, and a comprehensive program for accompanying people. Full details of all social events will be distributed later with the conference guide.
